Laura Williamson & Court Morgan, Founders

Court Morgan (she/they) was introduced to meditation in 1997 by a sports psychologist and incorporated yoga asana in 2001. She is an ERYT500 yoga teacher and teacher trainer as well as a former studio owner. After many years of study in college and with senior teachers of Indian history and philosophy in the Vedic tradition, Court found a home in the Buddhadharma at her first silent retreat. She has been an avid and enthusiastic student within the Early Buddhist lineage since, including dedicated practitioner programming through the Insight Meditation Society and the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies, and was encouraged to teach the dharma by her longtime teachers Alexis Santos and Vance Pryor. Her style of sharing the dharma is deeply somatic, playful, and compassionate and she aims to help other practitioners more deeply access, trust, and find refuge in their own inner process as nature. www.CourtMorgan.com

Danny Shaheen

Danny Shaheen (he/him) was introduced to practicing meditation around 2012 and initially pursued the practice as a complement to taking yoga classes. In 2014 he began a graduate program to pursue mental health counseling as a profession, which led to being trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The founder of DBT was one of the first to incorporate mindfulness into a theory of psychotherapy. Learning to teach mindfulness to others via DBT groups gave ample opportunities for Danny to hone an articulation of how people might apply the principles of practice under all manner of challenging life circumstances. Today, Danny is called to practice in order to continue to tease the boundaries of what is possible in his life pursuits while maintaining a calm state of awareness. â€‹
